GTMS FSAE 2002
The images below were taken in the
days leading up to and at the 2002 Formula SAE competition. GT
Motorsports took 3rd out of 134 entrants. In addition to the usual
event related travails on the track, the team faced additional
challenges when one of the bearings on the transport trailer burned
up as the team reached the Silverdome. Mr. Jim Flanagan saved
the team's bacon on that score, putting in many hours to rehabilitate
the trailer in time to carry the team home. The weather was dreadful
throughout the weekend, with temperatures in the 40's, wind and
rain on most days.
